ABOUT ABOUT

The David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center’s inaugural exhibition, Inspired Encounters: Women Artists and the Legacies of Modern Art, examines intergenerational influence and innovation. Co-curators Katrina London and Jeremiah William McCarthy will moderate a discussion between exhibition catalogue contributors Adrienne L. Childs, adjunct curator at The Phillips Collection; Kimberli Gant, curator of modern and contemporary art at the Brooklyn Museum; and Maura Reilly, director of Rutgers University’s Zimmerli Art Museum on how museums can provide more expansive and inclusive accounts of modern and contemporary art.

The event will be followed by a reception with special access to the DR Center gallery, currently showing Inspired Encounters: Women Artists and the Legacies of Modern Art.
